Where to go in Osaka
The first stop on our list is Osaka! Make sure to visit these attractions during your trip:
Harukas 300 Observatory
Stunning city views await when you visit the Harukas 300 Observatory, a 3-tiered observation deck (from the 58th to the 60th floor) that comes with an outdoor atrium, a 360-degree glass observation area, and also a restaurant!
Admire the view from an open-air plaza and grab a bite at the Sky Garden 300 restaurant afterward on the 58th floor. After that, head up to the 60th floor to get a panoramic view of the city from a 360-degree glass observation deck.
teamLab Botanical Garden Osaka
Step into teamLab Botanical Garden Osaka, a garden by day and an art exhibit by night! Starting off your visit to this attraction is a walk through the botanical garden that houses about 1,200 plant species that are so pretty to look at and admire.
Come nighttime, you’ll be delighted with an interactive art exhibit that specializes in nature and everything surrounding it — wind, rain, people, and animals. When you move, the art surrounding you will move too, making you the subject of each art piece!
Klook Tip: The trees and plants at the botanical garden change colors depending on the season, so it’s best to visit during your favorite time of the year!
Where to go in Kyoto
Your next stop — Kyoto! Here are some must-visits in the city:
Hozugawa River
If you love nature and sightseeing as much as we do, then the Hozugawa River Boat Ride is a must-do! Immerse yourself in the tranquility of nature as you cruise through the Hozugawa River, one of Kyoto’s most highly-recommended destinations for travelers looking to have an unforgettable boat ride experience in Japan.
During your cruise, you’ll be lucky enough to see schools of fish swim freely in the water, or spot some adorable birds just flying by near the river. The picturesque view of the skies is also one that you can’t miss, as well as the abundance of trees that change color depending on the season of your visit.
Klook Tip: There might be rock formations and rapids that you’ll have to pass through during your cruise, so make sure to hold on tight to prevent yourself from falling off the boat.
Fu Fu No Yu Onsen
Refresh your mind and body at Fu Fu No Yu Onsen, the perfect place to treat yourself after all the walking and sightseeing that you’ve been doing during your trip. They offer both indoor and outdoor hot springs, so take a dip according to your preference!
We highly suggest you try out their outdoor hot baths for an extra relaxing onsen experience while surrounded by nature. Once you’ve relieved your mind and body of stress and soreness, take a dip in the ice bath to re-awaken your system and senses!
Where to go in Nara
And we’ve come to your last stop — Nara! Some must-visits include:
Nara Park
Your trip to Nara can never be complete without a visit to the famous Nara Park! Home to hundreds of adorable deer that you can feed and pet, it’s no doubt that this park is easily a crowd favorite. You can stroll around the park, have a picnic, or even play some active games like tag or badminton if you like.
But aside from the cute deer that you’ll encounter and activities that you can do, there are also some significant attractions that you can visit inside the park like temples and museums — one of which is the iconic Todaiji Temple which houses one of Japan’s largest bronze statues of Buddha!
Klook Tip: Yoshino (Nara) is actually a hidden spot where you can enjoy a good view of cherry blossoms, so make sure to visit Nara if that’s a sight that you want to see!
Nara National Museum
If you’re looking to go somewhere uncommon but definitely worth a visit, then the Nara National Museum should be added to your itinerary! It’s considered the second oldest national museum in Japan, and inside are mostly displays of Japanese Buddhist art like statues, paintings, scrolls, and sculptures.
Get ready to learn more about the life of Buddha through the museum’s extensive art collection and the stories that lie behind each art piece. Here’s the catch — the Nara National Museum is conveniently located inside Nara Park!
Important Reminder: Only the attractions in Nara are accessible with the pass, all the other attractions listed above are for travel inspo only and are not included in the pass.
