La Clique Singapore promises to dazzle with heart-stopping moments, humour and spellbinding acts
Miss the feeling of live performances? Then you definitely don’t wanna miss La Clique Singapore - an award-winning theatrical phenomenon that features a unique blend of circus, cabaret, comedy, and live music. Ongoing now, La Clique Singapore is the first international production to take to a stage in Singapore since the Circuit Breaker in April 2020.
La Clique was first launched in 2004 as an original Spiegeltent show and has since performed to sold-out audiences in cities such as Adelaide, Brighton, Edinburgh, Melbourne, Montreal, New York and Sydney.
We caught their exclusive preview and met some of their artists, and here's what you can expect!
La Clique Performances
La Clique boasts an impressive line-up of acts by eight world-class artists. They include Heather Holliday, the world’s Youngest Female Sword Swallower who will wow you with her sword-swallowing acts.
Don't blink when Heather makes her second appearance on stage as she'll be bringing you some explosive fire breathing stunts. Don't try any of these at home folks!
German acrobat Oscar Kaufmann will also be performing the much celebrated “Bath Boy” routine - an elegant yet steamy aerial choreography involving a bathtub. Those sitting in the front row, beware. You might just well be in the splash zone!
Pierre and Stef - the third generation of the Skating Willers - will dazzle you with their breath-taking acrobatic roller-skating. They'll be bringing you timeless stuns that are inspired by Pierre's grandparents who wowed the world as the original Skating Willers.
These breathtaking talents will be presided over by world-renowned cabaret artiste and songwriter Bernie Dieter, who has been dubbed the “undisputed queen of punk cabaret”. Queen of the hula hoop, Lisa Lottie, will also have you on the edge of your seat as she bends her body and performs some of the most impressive hula hoop skills you have ever seen.
The best thing is that audiences will get a more intimate experience during the show as the venue has been transformed into an immersive 360-degree space that surrounds a stage no bigger than 3 metres. This allows for all 250 audience members in the house to view all the action on stage.
