When it comes to exploring Singapore for things to do, you can rest assured that there are no shortage of activities around Marina Bay to engage in.
We’ve even curated these activities into different categories to suit the type of day that you’re planning to have around the area. Read on for Klook’s local guide to Marina Bay!
Going on a romantic date
1. Staycation options
First thing's first, be amazed by the array of hotels in Marina Bay which offers one of the most beautiful waterfront views across the island. We've done the hard work for you by narrowing down some of the best with amazing deals!
The hardest decision you’ve got to make now is 2D1N or 3D2N.
2. A Date at Gardens by The Bay
Home to a multitude of different species of plants and flowers, escape the heat during the day in the Cloud Forest and Flower Dome as you explore various types of plants from around the world.
With its ever-changing seasonal displays to match the blooms of flowers from different regions of the world, no 2 visits to Gardens by The Bay will ever be the same!
In the evenings, head out to the Supertree Observatory where these 50m Supertrees are lit up in vibrant colours. The perfect setting for a romantic night stroll we say, head up to the OCBC Skyway to enjoy the view from up top.
3. Have a picnic under the stars
You’ve seen it in your favourite K-Dramas and Indie romance films, now it’s time to recreate those loveable and heartwarming scenes with bae in real life. The hottest spot to have your picnic now is at the newly-opened Keppel Marina East Desalination Plant!
Located just minutes from East Coast Park and Tanjong Rhu, the plant’s green roof is comparable to that of Marina Barrage, just less crowded. Pack your favourite snacks and enjoy an evening of stargazing with bae.
If you’re looking for a picnics’ equivalent of Glamping, there are also glammed up picnic rental sets to take your date to the next level! Set-up to provide the most romantic ambience, bring some cute bento boxes and perhaps a bottle of wine and you’re good to go.
4. Dine on the Singapore Flyer

Nothing shouts romance more than enjoying a premium meal with your loved one behind a spectacular backdrop of Singapore’s CBD all lit up! This might even be the best time to pop the question might we say.
Savour a 4-course meal with a complimentary glass of wine and the sight of your love for a whole hour. Sounds like it’s going to be one memorable meal.
5. Hop on a Sunset Dinner Cruise along the Southern Straits
If dining 165m up in the air is not your cup of tea, maybe a cruise around Singapore’s Southern Islands might do the trick. Catch unparalleled views of the sunset as you enjoy your dinner, along with the cool sea breeze and the calm sound of the gentle waves.
A day of sports and activities
