    Yikes, the school holidays are here! The kids are now stuck at home with no more HBL to do, but parents still have to WFH, I can feel the headaches already. Fret not, we’ve combed the internet for things to keep your kids entertained, and here are some of the best online and downloadable resources there are!

    1. Wildlife Reserves Singapore Hello from the Wild Side

    If you’re looking to get up close and personal with the animals without leaving home, Wildlife Reserves Singapore has planned unique interactions with adorable creatures, ask the zookeeper sessions and more. The latest episode features the Emperor Tamarins from River Safari that are too cute to resist.

    Start the green fingers young by planting a mini garden in your backyard. Gardens by the Bay's #StayHomeWithGB has a variety of edutaining plant-related content from DIY gardening projects to botanical crafts and more. 

    3. Science Centre Singapore KidSTOP Academy

    Science Centre Singapore has launched the KidSTOP Academy where you can order activity kits mailed to your home. There’s also Science o’Clock Junior where your little ones can get their hands dirty trying out different science experiments including making slime!

The Wizarding World has introduced Harry Potter At Home to add a touch of Harry Potter magic to our new daily lives. You can find out which house you will be sorted into, test your Harry Potter knowledge with a muggles quiz, and even learn how to make a broomstick
    Can’t get your hands on the Harry Potter books? Here’s your chance to listen to it directly from Daniel Radcliffe (Yes, Harry Potter himself!) as he reads Chapter One: 'The Boy Who Lived' of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.     Catch exclusive short videos of At Home with Olaf, Disney stories, and also drawing tutorials of your favourite Disney characters. You can also relive the magic of Disneylands or simply keep yourself inspired till the day we can visit these magical lands again.

    While news of Disneyland Shanghai will partially reopen on 11 May, those missing Disneyland may well have to wait many months more till global air travel restarts. But this doesn’t mean you can’t recreate that bit of Disney magic right at home! Disneyland Paris at Home released a series of useful kids activities like colouring and crafting your favourite Disney characters. You can even whip up a Disney-inspired meal with some of their exclusive recipes like Carrot Cake and Crunchy Pavlova inspired by Frozen.

    But the Disney magic doesn’t just stop there! Your kids can now watch their own Mickey and Minnie drawings turned auto-magically into a cartoon thanks to the Wakatoon app. There are three colouring pages to choose from, but why choose? Just do all three!

    8. NASA at Home

    There’s no greater dream than space exploration, and the folks over at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, aka NASA, knows precisely that. They’ve put together a whole series of resources for the young to the young at heart with NASA at Home
    At NASA’s Learning Space, you can find instructions for making things like rockets and Mars rovers out of materials you have at home or with templates you can print out. You can also keep the younger ones entertained the whole day with different NASA Colouring Books that you can print out. There are just too many activities to list them out, so do check them out!
    Besides dreaming about space, NASA brings you right into outer space itself with virtual tours of the International Space Station. Back on the ground they also have a series of really cool videos on how they train astronauts, and also the Hubble Space Telescope Mission Operations Center.

    In typical National Geographic style, they’ve come up with a great resource for your entire family to keep exploring the world even from home. NatGeo@Home boasts a collection of quizzes, videos, science experiments, and even at-home classroom resources.

    Kids can watch goofy animal videos to learn more about them, learn fun facts about anything under the sun through fun quizzes and downloadable worksheets. Serious learners can also connect with scientists and adventurers every day, or simply learn from the interactive NatGeo Library
