[New!] Thailand Travel Requirements
It was initially announced that starting 9 January 2023, travellers to Thailand will be subjected to new travel requirements that include the need to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination. This measure has since been rescinded. This means that travellers from Singapore can continue to enjoy unrestricted travel to Thailand in 2023.
However, should you be visiting Thailand from a country that requires a pre-departure COVID-19 test to enter that country, do take note of the following travel requirements:
1. Buy Travel Insurance (not compulsory for Singaporeans)
It was also announced that mandatory travel insurance is required for travellers travelling to another country where a negative PCR test is a condition of entry. The health insurance needs to have at least US$10,000 in coverage until 7 days after the departure date from Thailand.
For travellers visiting from and returning to Singapore, it will not be compulsory to get travel insurance. However, we still recommend purchasing it for peace of mind. You can get MSIG Travel Insurance on Klook that comes with COVID-19 coverage.
2. Pay 300 Baht (S~S$12) Entry Fee
It was announced that travellers flying into Thailand will have to pay 300 baht (S$12) for each trip into Thailand. Those entering via its land borders and seaports will be levied 150 baht each. The fees will come into effect from June.
Returning to Singapore
Complete SG Arrival Card
With testing no longer required under the Vaccinated Travel Framework, all travellers are only required to complete the SG Arrival Card up to 72 hours before departure for Singapore.
What flights to take to Thailand?
Fully-vaccinated travellers may fly on any flight to visit Thailand and return to Singapore. Airlines that fly directly to Thailand destinations include Singapore Airlines, Scoot, Thai Airways, and JetStar Asia.
Where to stay in Thailand?
There are no longer any restrictions to where you can stay in Thailand. So feel free to pick your favourite Bangkok hotels, Khao Kho mountain villas, and even Phuket beach resorts on Klook!
