The Warehouse Hotel Singapore Staycation Review
Housed in a restored heritage building, The Warehouse Hotel is the perfect mix of history, culture and comfort. At the heart of what once was a red light district in the 1890s, this very warehouse in the middle of all that action.
Fast forward to today, you’ll find historically detailed rooms, classic local dishes elevated, craft cocktails and a getaway you never knew you needed.

The Warehouse Loft
There are 2 types of Warehouse Lofts available - skylight and windows. The skylight room has a small window on the ceiling that allows for natural light to come in and you can choose to close it when darkness descends.
The Warehouse Lofts are usually located on the top floor and you’ll find some of the original beams and structures from the 1890s in your room!
During this period, you’ll also find necessities like Face masks and sanitizer to keep you safe.
Themed after the 7 deadly sins, apart from your usual mini bar items like coffee and instant noodles. The hotel has very special mini bar of vices (read: peacock feathers and blindfolds) to spice up your night as a nod to their past of being a part of the red light district.
The River View Room
The River View rooms are located on the lower floor and they’re literally right beside the Singapore River! If you open the curtains you’ll be able to people-watch all day. The room is bigger and has a working desk behind the bed.
The rooms also come with Ashley and Co amenities and if you’ve booked the River View Suite, it comes with a bathtub and bath salts!
Po Restaurant
With your dining credits, you’ll want to head to Po Restaurant for a meal! The restaurant Po, named after Popo which means Grandmother in Mandarin evokes a sense of warmth and comfort.
Serving elevated local favourites, we ordered the Carbinero and Kombu Mee, Popiah and Paper Wrapped Chicken. Their signature Popiah comes with all the ingredients you’ll need to assemble yours, don’t worry there’s also an instructions sheet on the table in case it’s your first time.
The Kombu Mee was bursting with umami flavour from the rich prawn and pork stock that the noodles were simmered in. Of course, it’s topped with crunchy pork lard for added texture. Don’t forget to mix in the sambal that comes with for an added spicy kick.
The Paper Wrapped Chicken was tender and juicy and stuffed with glutinous rice, chinese mushrooms and lap cheong. Every bite was fragrant and left you wanting more.
Lobby Bar
“The cocktails are a taste of the three distinct eras of the warehouse’s past, from the frenetic height of the spice trade and the darker underbelly of godown culture to the giddy heyday of disco.”
You’ll also be given 2 bespoke cocktails of your choice and we tried out 5 of their signature drinks. Our top pick would have to be the Open Sesame which consists of sesame scotch, pandan montenegro, sweet vermouth and a Black Sesame Cracker as well as the Lady Luck - a mix of citrus vodka, roselle gin, honeybush, pineapple shrub, ginger, coconut, lemon oleo saccharum. (Bonus points for the cute cup).
Rooftop Pool
The best part about the rooftop pool is that you’ll get PRIVATE pool time. You’re entitled to 1 hour of pool time and only you and your mates will be allowed in during that hour. Pack a swimsuit, head up and enjoy the views!
