The Green Planet Dubai, UAE’s first-ever indoor tropical forest, houses over 3,000 plants and animals. Located at the heart of Dubai at the intersection of Al Wasl Road and Safa Road, this enclosed bio-dome is led by key scientists and zoologists who aim to provide education on the Earth’s diverse ecosystem.
Inside,  people of all ages, including the little kiddos, are in for a treat with heaps of activities offered by The Green Planet Dubai! The Flooded Forest houses an aquarium of different sea creatures like stingrays, turtles, archerfish, and more, where you can watch them swim around. They also have a collection of 1,000 piranhas! If you’re on the braver side, you can even watch them get fed at 4 p.m.

Their indoor tropical rainforest has a wide variety of species like sloths, monkeys, snakes, insects, and a ton of birds you can interact with as they fly over your head! If you aren’t scared of the dark, you may want to visit the bat cave, where you can have a closer look at these nocturnal creatures.
More recently, Dubai’s first bearcat was welcomed in The Green Planet. Fluffy, as it is named, is the largest inhabitant of this enclosed bio-dome. At two years old, Fluffy is already 14kg and can weigh up to 30kg in 25 years! With its introduction as a resident to The Green Planet, zoologists are looking to educate more visitors on the importance of protecting the habitat of bearcats.

You can also choose the personal VIP tour of the bio-dome to learn more about the science of nature through the exotic creatures that call it home.
Looking for a more in-depth educational program on animal care? The Green Planet also offers a six-week, 20-hour course for kids ages 12-18. Here, the kiddos can learn how to provide basic care and training to animals, such as giving them proper nutrition and teaching them proper hygiene.

If a whole day isn’t enough for you to explore the place, you can book a night in this indoor rainforest and sleep to the sound of the jungle at night! With provided beddings or hammocks, you can get a unique experience inside the Green Planet Dubai as you admire the stars above.
Another unique experience in this rainforest is an indoor thunderstorm that happens every 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Realistic lights and sound effects— like thunder rumbles, electric flashes of light, strong winds, and their specialized design rain system—will actually feel like the real one!
Worried about getting wet? Fret not, because there are areas in the dome where you can still see the simulation without getting wet. In addition to these, experts are also present to explain the importance of storms and what happens during thunderstorms, as well as how animals react to them. Afterward, you can play in the rain puddles with the animals!
