Let’s get our facts straight: Hong Kong Disneyland is the smallest Disneyland Park, but it doesn’t mean it’s any less magical!
The Happiest Place on Earth—erm, Hong Kong—is home to tons of equally rip-roaring rides. Some feature all-time classics, such as It’s a Small World and Hyperspace Mountain; some are Hong Kong natives, such as the Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway.
Pumped? Get ready for an adrenaline-pumping day at Hong Kong Disneyland, exploring its most exciting attractions. Without further ado, here are our top picks for the eight best rides:
- Hyperspace Mountain
- Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway
- RC Racer
- “It’s a Small World’
- Jungle River Cruise
- Toy Soldier Parachute Drop
- Slinky Dog Spin

1. Hyperspace Mountain
Location: Tomorrow Land
Star War fans, here’s your chance to step right into the middle of an intergalactic battle! The Hyperspace Mountain in Tomorrow Land will rocket you into outer space with the two-minute indoor rollercoaster. It starts off with Admiral Ackbar checking you in on the mission, then venturing to hyperspace, where you’ll get caught in a heated laser fight against the TIE fighters. This hair-whipping ride is a Hong Kong Disneyland essential not to be missed!
2. Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway
Location: Grizzly Gulch
Hong Kong Disneyland might not have Disneyland Orlando, Paris, Tokyo, and California’s Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, but it does have the hair-raising Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars, an outdoor coaster that dashes you in and out of the caverns and throws you back when you least expect it. Filled with unexpected twists and turns, this three-minute ride will have you rumbling through “California’s Gold Rush!”
3. RC Racer
Location: Toy Story Land
Our next Hong Kong Disneyland attraction consists of gravity-defying action at Toy Story Land. The RC Racer will race you along 27-metre tall tracks and back down as you speed through the sky and down to earth. This nostalgic ride will make you relive the epic moment when Buzz and Woody rode the RC and raced back to Andy in the first Toy Story film.
4. “It’s a Small World”
Location: Fantasy Land
What’s a trip to Disney without visiting its most beloved attraction? “It’s a Small World” will forever remain a Disney fave with its lively song and brilliantly-dressed dimple darlings. Climb aboard the Seven Seaways Canal and journey across all seven continents. Over 300 animatronics adorned in traditional wears from all over the globe await inside, plus your fave Disney characters, from Ariel to Simba!
5. Jungle River Cruise
Location: Adventure Land
You’ve been to space, soared through the skies, been around the globe, next up: cruise the jungle! Adventure Land’s Jungle River Cruise will embark on an exciting journey to see “nature’s” awesome wonders, including a pool of playful hippos, gentle elephants, striking king cobras, and gorillas on a rampage. Though the best part of the cruise is that you can select between three languages (Cantonese, Mandarin, or English), so you’re all in with the jokes!
6. Toy Soldier Parachute Drop
Location: Toy Story Land
A heart-racing ride built for the brave ones: the Toy Soldier Parachute Drop will train you to become the top Paratrooper in town! Just strap in your seatbelts, and you’ll slowly ascend to the skies, where you’ll get sweeping views of the park and the nearby Mystic Manor. Enjoy the view while you can, ‘cos the next minute, you’ll plunge from a 25-metre drop—the ultimate test of bravery!
7. Slinky Dog Spin
Location: Toy Story Land
For a ride that’s fit for the entire fam, the Slinky Dog Spin will help you wind down after a jam-packed day of rip-roaring rides. Buckle up and seat the whole fam as Slinky springs into action and goes round ‘n round the colourful playground.
8. The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
Location: Fantasyland
Mark your Disneyland bucket list item for this family-friendly ride. The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh lets you experience kooky adventures inside Hundred Acre Wood. Your journey begins by riding the giant Hunny Pot and slowly venturing down the enchanted song-filled wonderland, meeting Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, Kanga, Roo, and Tiger.
