    When do the holidays at Disneyland start?

    Holiday events run from November 12 through January 9, which means plenty of time to enjoy the festivities! For first-time goers, please note that Disneyland Park and Disneyland California Adventure Park are two separate parks, and you will need a separate ticket to enter each.

    Disneyland Park

    1. Disneyland Halloween isn't over yet!

    2021 marks Haunted Mansion Holiday's 20th anniversary! The famed attraction turns into the Gingerbread Franken-house, an homage to its past "transformations" to celebrate this feat. This Nightmare theme at the Haunted Mansion will stay until January 9—great news for Halloween lovers who missed visiting the park during the season.

    One of Disneyland's classic rides gets a Christmas makeover! “It's a small world” Holiday gets adorned with stunning Christmas lights and overlays and is filled with traditional holiday tunes guaranteed to give you good cheer for the season.

    3. A Christmas Fantasy Parade

    When in Disneyland, one should keep their eyes peeled out for the famous parade. For Christmas, the Disneyland Parade is called A Christmas Fantasy Parade. And, you can watch your favorite characters march along with prancing reindeers and Santa! 
    This merry musical procession will run throughout the holiday and will still follow the typical parade route from it's a small world down to Main Street.

    4. Disney Merriest Nites

    What's new this Christmas in Disneyland is the Disney Merriest Nites, an after-hour event on select nights this November and December! Join Mickey Mouse and friends at six different themed parties, and ring in the holiday season in the best way possible!
    Admission to these six merry parties will give you after-hour access to attractions, and you can stay in the park until midnight! Plus, you'll get to see some rare Disney characters in their holiday outfits, so always be on the lookout. Isn't that exciting?

    5. "Believe...in Holiday Magic" fireworks and snow

    Watch Disneyland turn into something even more magical at night—when the fireworks and snow show begins! This 15-minute pyrotechnic bonanza is set to happen nightly, weather permitting, and includes up to 80,000 dazzling lights that will rise above Sleeping Beauty's Winter Castle. 
    For a frosty treat, head to “It's a small world’ Holiday, Main Street, and the central plaza to watch the surprise snowfall.

    6. Disney Festival of Holidays

    It's more than just Christmas at Disneyland California Adventure Park! Join the Disney Festival of Holidays, and celebrate diverse festivities, such as Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Three Kings' Day, and Diwali! Fill your ears with lively music from the Holiday Toy Drummers and Mariachi Divas, who put their own spin on classic holiday tunes. Plus, you'll also get to feast on lovely seasonal treats at the Festival Foods Marketplace!

    7. Disney ¡Viva Navidad!

    Join in the holiday fun at Paradise Gardens Park for Disney ¡Viva Navidad! Experience a day of music, dance, and Disney magic when you revel with your favorite Disney characters at the street party. Paradise Gardens will also be decked out with colorful papel picado banners, piñatas, and more!

    8. Buena Vista Street Holiday Tree

    Lift your Christmas spirit when you head to Buena Vista Street at Disneyland California Adventure Park for the magical holiday tree lighting. Cap off your day at Disneyland California Adventure Park by watching the 50-foot holiday tree come to life with magnificent Christmas lights, ornaments, and garlands. The tree will be in the plaza just outside Elias & Co. gift shop and will be lit around 5:30 p.m.
