Things to do in Sagano Bamboo Forest

the best thing I’ve ever done in my life. would do it again on my next trip.

I was really nervous to try and dress in Kimono as I’m a tall, Aussie sized 16. in the past when I’ve tried either nothing has fit me, or the kimono are tacky/ low quality. Ookini had a larger selection than I expected they were beautiful colours and prints, I actually struggled to pick. All of the staff were wonderful, they put together a beautiful set for me, my hair was beautiful, and there was no “upselling” like I have read about at other places. I would recommend them to anyone, especially plus sized girlies! I felt beautiful.

Very beautiful, worth going to see the magnificent lights. We came during the cherry blossom season, so we could enter without having to exchange or queue. We bought the ticket that day and it could be used right away.

The tour guide Lucy was great. She explained the whole trip in detail and provided snacks and cakes. It was a very pleasant trip and I am very happy to participate in this trip.

the staff were efficient and polite. the three boatmen were funny and entertaining. morning ride is less exciting as the water level is lower than in the afternoon.

I was looking for a way to visit Nara park and hit some key places in Kyoto on the same day and our tour guide was very informative and interesting.
