This pass is super worth it if you are going skiing. We used this pass to go to Nozawa Onsen from Tokyo, then onwards to Osaka. It covers all rail travel only on JR, so be careful as some routes are not covered, but all in all... worth it as the Shinkansen tickets alone are worth a couple hundred bucks on its own

This time I participated in the easy go two-day one-day tour on January 12-13, 2025. The itinerary was great. There are two Chinese tour guides, who very thoughtfully introduce the order of shopping at each attraction. On the first day from Nagoya to Takayama City, there were rest stops to use the restroom. The first stop is Gaoshan City for 3 hours. The second stop is Gassho Village for 2 hours. The third stop was WING International Premium Hotel in front of Kanazawa Station. the next day. The first stop is Kanazawa Kenrokuen Garden + Kanazawa Castle Park for 2 hours. The second stop is Omi Town Market for 1.5 hours. The third stop is East Tea House Street for 1.5 hours. It takes 3.5 hours to drive from Kanazawa to Nagoya. In the middle, we stopped at the rest stop "Sonano Plateau SA (上り)".

our guides Kondo san and Yoshio san were amazing and explained to us the details of the schedule and places of interest very well. The driver was experienced and drove very well throughout our journey. It was a fun trip and we managed to cover a lot without feeling rushed. The lunch was delicious and authentic. we were lucky to have great weather in both shirakawa go and takayama which contributed to fantastic pictures.

Although the price of this pass has increased, after four days, the price from Komatsu to Kanazawa, from Kanazawa to Fukui, and from Kanazawa to Unazuki Onsen has completely exceeded the ticket price. The Shinkansen part is at the last station, so even if it is a consecutive holiday in Japan , unreserved seats are also available, and you can also purchase reserved seats on sightseeing trains and use the pass instead of the freight. If you want to travel slowly in the Hokuriku area, it is recommended to buy it.

The Japanese tour guide was super considerate and was very considerate when he told me the time. I didn’t hear him before he got off the bus. He looked directly at the front of the bus. There was a meeting time written on the front of the bus. You didn’t have to worry about transportation. The tour was very punctual. I love this kind of one-day trip where you don’t have to think about the itinerary. It was great to see Gassho Village under heavy snow. of!
