Things to do in Hida Folk Village

The mountains are very beautiful in autumn. The color gradation is worth a visit. Hida beef is very delicious. The drive is far away but worth it! ! ! ! ! ! !

This is definitely a must see.

It was a great experience. Shirakawago is a must see plus you also get to visit Takayama. To be honest, there is not enough time to truly explore both stops. But if you're only in Japan for a few days, then going on this tour will do to at least to get a glimpse of Takayama and Shirakawago. What also made me choose this tour is because it stops at the Shirakawago viewpoint. Amy, our tour guide, was amazing. She gave us tips to maximize the short time we had on each stop. The scenery of Shirakawa-go is beautiful, very quiet, the air is fresh, and very relaxing. You can stroll leisurely in the village. You can take panoramic photos on the observation deck. It is very filmy and worth a visit. The tour guide introduced us to the attractions, some Japanese history, folk customs, and small stories throughout the whole process. His words were vivid and not boring at all. He spoke humorously, the service was also very good, and he took good care of us throughout the whole process. The car was clean and spacious, and the driver drove very steadily and was familiar with the route.
