Amazing experience! Our guide Mayo was extremely knowledgeable and brought the information about Sake alive to us! It was a very educational experience but at the same time enjoyable and we were able to try some great Sakes and understand our taste preferences. We had a fantastic time on our tour, and that was all thanks to our guide Kimu! He was very friendly, spoke great English (and Chinese!) and was very knowledgable about everything on the tour. I highly recommend this tour. We learned so much about the sake making process, and especially how to read sake labels to figure out what grade and type of sake we are buying, and also the recommended temperature to serve the sake. The sake tasting was all a bonus! The locations were all beautiful and full of history, we even got to see a very rare yellow sakura in bloom.

If you don't want to be a cherry blossom refugee, this is a good choice. The cherry blossoms on both sides of the river are beautiful. Unfortunately, you can't choose a day with cherry blossoms and snow.

The tour was amazing. Now we know quite more about sake history and differences between sake types. Now we can choose sake by our own taste preferences.

I heard it was a new route and not many people knew about it, so our family of five got to take a chartered tour. We were so lucky! The driver and guide, Li Xiang, is very reliable: he explains in detail, shares a lot of historical anecdotes, and the recommended internet-famous dessert shop is also super delicious! The only drawback was that the trip ended at 4 o'clock and we returned from Uji. The price is around 300 yuan, which is still highly recommended.
