perfect location! very near restaurants that serve delicious korean food and is also near 2 train stations and lots of bus stops. best part of Joy Guesthouse is the host! Mr. Choi is the best host you could ever hope for. The room is well maintained and despite its small size, it is very cozy. will definitely come back here for every SK visit :)

Nice simple room for a short stay in Seoul. Nice quiet area just outside the craziness of Myeongdong. The lady was really welcoming and accommodating, and also let us a nice gift for Christmas

It's really good because it's close to the subway. The facilities are clean and the heating is good and not cold. I can see outside through the window so the view isn't stuffy. The bathroom is clean and overall I was very satisfied. Breakfast is included so I had a full breakfast. If I have something to do nearby, I think I'll come back to stay there again.

Clean and new hotel, just a bit far from subway station and restaurants

The Hotel has great accommodating staff, we are entertained right away and was granted with our request of early check in (additional fees incurred) and our room is tidy and the toiletries are well prepared. Our room is daily groomed and there is a safety deposit box as well if you have any valuables you need to left behind. Lastly it has an ideal location in Dongdaemun that have walking distance to multiple subway and bus stations.

The counter staff are friendly and helpful. When you arrive, you can directly register your passport and credit card at the check-in counter. If you need to call a taxi, they are very helpful. There are supermarkets on the left and right sides of the hotel entrance. It is very convenient to walk to Dongdaemun in less than five minutes. There are also many delicious food nearby. Barbecue, rice soup, fried chicken, and Starbucks are all available, and there are also department stores that sell the favorite olive young.

Before departure, I read the reviews on Google. I had high expectations for the hotel but was also afraid of being hurt. I was deeply afraid that the language barrier would lead to a poor attitude at the reception desk. After visiting the scene in person, I found that this was not the case. Everyone was very nice and patient. Even though we could only translate through mobile phones, the counter still showed a professional service spirit! After staying for a few days, I clearly felt that there were many business people or tourists from Japan staying in this Japanese hotel, which made me feel like I was in Japan! The only drawback is that there are many bad mainland tourists
