I booked the return bus tip and admission ticket. on the way to the park our guide Stella shared a lot of useful info about the park and Korean history. even though I didn’t book the tour she was kind enough to tell me where to go and was very nice overall. The park is pretty big and there are some hills. Our guide advised us to pay for a bus that would take us up the hill (4500₩) but in retrospect the hills weren’t that steep so I could’ve done without it. The only thing I would have changed about the itinerary is that I would have added an extra 30-45 mins at the park to have more time to explore.

The ride was really far outside of Seoul, no way we could have gotten there via public transport. So for the price we paid, it was amazing. Plus, Rachel, our tour guide was super friendly and amazing. She explained a lot of the locations in the park and showed us what was filmed where and even some historical tidbits! It was such a wonder for us who watched Dae Jang Geum those many years ago to see the whole set in person. We were in disbelief that they built a whole “village” for that show and more parts have been added to it every now and then. However, it was a bit run down, which made us realize how much post-production goes into the shows! Really cool tour!
